Wearing your contact lenses longer than you should? Not a good idea.

Recently, I have seen a number of contact lens patients with red, irritated eyes who could have prevented the problem by simply changing their disposable lenses regularly.  Either by forgetting to change their lenses or stretching them out to last longer, they’re now faced with not being able to wear their contacts.

Don’t let the same thing happen to you.  Why wait until your eyes are red and irritated to change your contact lenses?  Change them before they start to give you problems.

Disposable means… Change your contact lenses on a regular basis.

Just received our TruEye trial lens set.

    TruEye trial lenses.

Today we received our trial lens set of Acuvue TruEye contact lenses.   Since TruEye is a silicone hydrogel lens I am expecting the dK (oxygen permeability), wetting characteristics and comfort to be pretty good.  I hope this will be a great lens for some of my tougher dry eye cases.  I was pleasantly surpised to see the MINUS  powers available up to -8.50.  But,  no PLUS powers  for all the hyperopes (far-sighted individuals).    I have a few patients on trial runs with this lens and we will see in a week how good these lenses really are.
