Just received our TruEye trial lens set.

TruEye trial lenses.

Today we received our trial lens set of Acuvue TruEye contact lenses.   Since TruEye is a silicone hydrogel lens I am expecting the dK (oxygen permeability), wetting characteristics and comfort to be pretty good.  I hope this will be a great lens for some of my tougher dry eye cases.  I was pleasantly surpised to see the MINUS  powers available up to -8.50.  But,  no PLUS powers  for all the hyperopes (far-sighted individuals).    I have a few patients on trial runs with this lens and we will see in a week how good these lenses really are.

VISTAKON(R) Launches 1-Day ACUVUE(R) TruEye™ Brand Contact Lenses

VISTAKON,  announced that it has received clearance from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to market narafilcon B, the first and only silicone hydrogel daily disposable lens in the United States. The company will market it under the name 1-DAY ACUVUE TruEye Brand Contact Lenses.  We should get our trial lens sets soon.
