Our Eye Doctors

With over 30 years of experience in the eye care industry, Honolulu eye doctors, Dr. Daniel Yamamoto and Dr. Tracie Inouchi, offer a broad range of eye care services from basic eye examinations for eyeglasses to specialty contact lens fittings, LASIK co-management, and glaucoma testing. Our goal is to provide the highest level of personalized eye care to our patients and their families.

Dr. Daniel Yamamoto

Dr. Daniel Yamamoto has served the eye care needs of Hawaii for over 24 years. Born and raised in Honolulu, Dr. Dan attended Pacific University and Pacific University College of Optometry. He is a member of the Hawaii Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. Dr. Dan has a special interest in difficult rigid gas permeable contact lens fits. In 1991, the Hawaii Optometric Association selected Dr. Dan as the “Young Optometrist of the Year”. Dr. Dan is married and has two daughters. In his spare time, Dr. Dan enjoys fishing, cycling, hiking, and restoring old Schwinn bicycles.

Dr. Tracie Inouchi

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Dr. Tracie Inouchi received her bachelor’s degree from Pacific University in Oregon. She is a graduate of Pacific University College of Optometry and joined our practice in 2002. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Hawaii Optometric Association. Dr. Inouchi enjoys the daily challenges of optometry, but nothing can compare to watching her favorite team, the New York Yankees.

What does O.D. stand for?

O.D. stands for Doctor of Optometry. The O.D. degree is a doctoral level degree received after completing a four year post-graduate program from an accredited college or school of optometry.

What Is An Optometrist?

An optometrist is a primary eye care provider (eye doctor) who is trained to manage your vision problems by prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses and who is also trained to diagnose and treat certain eye diseases.
